Somani Technologies - Automation Test Engineer - Java/Selenium

Description : The individual is expected to work independently, proactively identify automation improvements, troubleshoot failures effectively, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Exposure to AI-based testing approaches is expected to help improve test efficiency, reliability, and coverage while continuously adopting modern automation best practices.

Required Skills :

- Experience in API automation - REST Assured / Postman

- Experience with Selenium (preferably Selenium 4)

- Proficiency in Java

- Hands-on experience maintaining custom automation frameworks

- Experience with TestNG and Playwright

- Knowledge of Maven / Gradle

- Experience with Git and version control

- Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

- Hands-on experience or working knowledge of AI testing

Good to Have :

- Experience with AI-driven or self-healing automation tools/ frameworks

- Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber)

- Basic knowledge of Docker

- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

- Understanding of test design techniques and QA processes

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and debugging skills

- Good communication and documentation skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Proactive mindset towards framework improvements
