Roles & Responsibilities :
- Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade Linux platforms and virtualization solutions for large-scale business-critical environments.
- Lead infrastructure design and deployment using Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu.
- Design, manage, and optimize virtualization environments using VMware vSphere, KVM, or Hyper-V technologies.
- Define and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity strategies across infrastructure platforms.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application teams to align platform architecture with business and operational requirements.
- Drive system performance tuning, capacity planning, infrastructure optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Implement security hardening, compliance standards, patch management, and governance best practices across Linux environments.
- Lead infrastructure automation initiatives using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python scripting.
- Support hybrid cloud integrations and infrastructure modernization initiatives across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Work with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes to support modern platform engineering practices.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship to infrastructure and platform engineering teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks and recommend scalable improvements aligned with enterprise architecture strategy.
Ideal Candidate Criteria :
- 8+ years of experience in Linux platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or solution architecture roles.
- Strong expertise in Linux operating systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu.
- Deep understanding of Linux system administration, kernel tuning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong experience architecting and managing enterprise virtualization environments using VMware vSphere, KVM, or Hyper-V.
- Hands-on experience designing high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity solutions.
- Strong experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Bash and Python.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, storage systems, and infrastructure security best practices.
- Experience implementing security hardening, compliance frameworks, and governance standards across enterprise infrastructure.
- Exposure to Agile, DevOps, and platform engineering-driven environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with hybrid cloud and enterprise data center environments will be preferred.
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is preferred.
- Certifications such as RHCE/RHCA, VMware VCP/VCAP, or AWS/Azure/GCP certifications will be an added advantage.
