About the Role :

Software Mathematics is seeking a high-agency AI Engineer with strong Python expertise to independently lead and execute end-to-end development of cutting-edge AI solutions. This is a solo contributor role focused on building production-grade AI systems that automate and optimize complex data workflows. Key Responsibilities :

- Independently design, develop, and deploy AI-powered systems using Python.

- Take ownership of full project lifecycles-from prototyping to production deployment.

- Work on unstructured and semi-structured data problems including extraction, transformation, and analysis.

- Build robust, scalable backend components integrating modern AI tools.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with an emphasis on reliability.

- Ensure timely delivery of features with minimal supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Proven proficiency in Python, especially in developing production-level systems.

- Solid understanding of AI and machine learning tools, including :

1. Large Language Models (LLMs)

2. LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks

3. Vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)

- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and basic applied mathematics.

- Experience working with APIs, data pipelines, and task automation tools.

- Self-starter mindset: ability to take initiative, troubleshoot independently, and drive projects to completion without close supervision.

- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) and deployment practices is a plus.

- This is an applied research role-it's about building real, working systems from scratch.
