Software Engineer - Java/Golang

Job Title : Software Engineer (Java with Golang)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Engineer with hands-on experience in Golang to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud native applications. This role involves working with modern Java frameworks while also contributing to services built using Go.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

- Contribute to backend services written in Golang, especially where high performance and concurrency are required.

- Build and optimize RESTful APIs for reliability, scalability, and security.

- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

- Work with both relational and NoSQL databases to design efficient data models and queries.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.

- Use Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools for cloud resource automation.

- Collaborate using Git and GitHub for version control, reviews, and branching strategies.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous team improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Java :

- Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

- Experience in developing microservices and RESTful web services.

- Hands-on experience with modern JDK versions.

Golang :

- Working experience building backend services in Go.

- Good understanding of Gos concurrency model (goroutines, channels).

- Knowledge of Go standard libraries and tools.

Cloud :

- Practical experience with at least one cloud provider : AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Databases :

- Experience with relational databases : Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.

- Understanding of NoSQL databases.

CI/CD & DevOps :

- Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.

- Knowledge of Terraform and IaC principles.

Version Control :

- Strong working knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows.

Methodologies :

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Exposure to monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).

- Understanding of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
