As an SDET at CORE, you will design and build automated testing frameworks, develop high-quality test suites across APIs, microservices, and UIs, and lead quality initiatives aligned with shift-left engineering. You will contribute to performance, security, and reliability testing across a modern microservices architecture deployed at scale on AWS.

Key Responsibilities :


- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for backend APIs, microservices, and frontend applications using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD)

- Implement API testing frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).

- Conduct load and performance testing using JMeter and analyse performance trends to identify bottlenecks.

- Perform SAST and DAST testing to detect and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure quality across the SDLC.

- Partner with development teams to triage defects, analyse root causes, and enhance testability.

- Support test data management, mocking, and multi-environment automation setups.

- Define test strategies, coverage models, and automation standards aligned with product scalability.

- Build dashboards and reports for test results, quality insights, and defect trends.

- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous learning.


Required Skills & Experience :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in software QA with a strong automation and performance testing focus

- Strong proficiency in Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD)

- Hands-on experience with API & microservices testing using Postman, REST

Assured :

- Proven expertise in JMeter for performance/load testing

- Experience with SAST/DAST tools such as OWASP ZAP, SonarQube, Veracode

- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)

- Understanding of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes for environment setup

- Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

- Experience working in agile teams with strong collaboration skills


Nice to Have :


- Experience in testing financial or procurement platforms

- Familiarity with .NET Core and Postgres to improve debugging

- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and QA observability

- Exposure to security compliance frameworks (OWASP Top 10, PCI-DSS)

- Experience with Docker-based test environments or Infrastructure-as-Code

- Contributions to QA communities, open-source tools, or automation frameworks
