Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled SDET - Automation (Python) to design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks and tools. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Python expertise and experience working across system/backend testing environments.

This role requires close collaboration with development teams to ensure high product quality through scalable automation solutions, efficient test execution, and continuous integration.

Key Responsibilities :

Automation Framework Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and reusable test components using Python.

- Build scalable automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing.

- Create internal tools and utilities to improve test efficiency, coverage, and reporting.

- Continuously enhance existing automation frameworks for stability, performance, and maintainability.

Test Execution & Quality Assurance :

- Develop automated test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.

- Execute automated and manual test cases, analyze results, and log defects with clear reproduction steps.

- Perform backend/system-level testing and validation.

- Ensure high-quality deliverables by identifying gaps early in the SDLC.

Debugging & Root Cause Analysis :

- Perform BSP/system-level debugging to isolate and resolve complex issues.

- Analyze failures in automation pipelines and production-like environments.

- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot defects and validate fixes.

Collaboration & CI/CD :

- Partner with development teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and release cycles.

- Advocate quality-first practices within Agile teams.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

Mandatory :

- Strong hands-on experience with Python automation (5+ years).

- Proven experience in building and maintaining custom automation frameworks.

- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.

- Strong system/BSP-level debugging skills.

- Experience working with SQL or backend databases for data validation.

- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools.

- Ability to work in fast-paced Agile environments.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to Django / HTML / CSS / PHP.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration testing.

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

- Understanding of API testing and backend services.

- Experience in test automation reporting and metrics.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- 6-11 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in automation engineering.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.

- Comfortable working in a WFO setup in Bangalore.

- Available to join within 0-15 days.
