Experience : 48 Years

Role Summary :

- The Senior Systems Engineer is a technical specialist responsible for the architecture, deployment, and optimization of end-to-end media workflows and broadcast infrastructure.

- This role focuses on bridging the gap between traditional video engineering and modern IT/IP-based media delivery.

- You will design and support scalable systems for content ingestion, transcoding, and distribution, ensuring high availability for real-time and file-based media services.

- Operating in a remote capacity, you will utilize advanced cloud and networking technologies to maintain mission-critical media pipelines, providing senior-level troubleshooting and technical leadership in an evolving software-defined media landscape.

Responsibilities :

- Design and implement sophisticated media processing workflows, including automated ingestion, transcoding, and multi-platform distribution.

- Architect and manage IP-based media transport protocols, ensuring low-latency delivery across NDI, SRT, and SMPTE ST 2110 standards.

- Lead the deployment of cloud-native media services on platforms like AWS (MediaLive, MediaConvert) or Azure, focusing on high-availability and cost optimization.

- Oversee the administration and integration of Media Asset Management (MAM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems to streamline content lifecycles.

- Execute deep-dive troubleshooting of complex audio/video signal flows, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in encoding, multiplexing, and delivery.

- Configure and optimize high-speed media storage solutions (NAS/SAN) and high-bandwidth networking to support 4K/UHD and HDR production workflows.

- Develop automation scripts using Python or Bash to streamline repetitive media engineering tasks and monitoring alerts.

- Collaborate with software developers to integrate media APIs and build custom tools for metadata management and workflow orchestration.

- Maintain rigorous technical documentation for system architectures, signal paths, and disaster recovery protocols.

- Conduct performance profiling and quality-of-service (QoS) monitoring using specialized media analysis tools to ensure broadcast-grade output.
