Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer (Level 2) with strong hands-on expertise in the ThingWorx IoT platform to design, enhance, and optimize user interfaces for enterprise-scale industrial and IoT applications. The role involves creating intuitive, scalable, and high-performing UI/UX solutions for company products including web applications, software tools, hardware interfaces, and dashboards, primarily within the ThingWorx ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will work closely with product owners, IoT architects, backend engineers, and manufacturing stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences across complex industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities :

UI/UX Design & Development :

- Design, develop, and enhance user interfaces and user experiences on the ThingWorx platform.

- Build and maintain Responsive Mashups, Thing Templates, and Data Shapes using ThingWorx Composer.

- Translate business and functional requirements into intuitive UI designs that improve usability, efficiency, and performance.

- Ensure consistency in UI components using reusable templates and modular design principles.

- Create scalable UI frameworks that support long-term product evolution.

ThingWorx Architecture & IoT Integration :

- Work with advanced ThingWorx architecture, including reusable components and best design practices.

- Integrate UI components with backend IoT data sources and services.

- Collaborate with IoT teams to support high-volume data ingestion pipelines and real-time visualization.

- Utilize protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, and tools like Kepware for industrial data connectivity.

- Ensure optimized performance for dashboards displaying large datasets and real-time metrics.

Troubleshooting, RCA & Optimization :

- Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve UI and performance issues in existing IoT applications.

- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for UI, data flow, and platform-related issues.

- Implement preventive actions to avoid recurring UI/UX and system performance problems.

- Mentor junior designers and developers on UI/UX best practices within the ThingWorx environment.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, QA, and Manufacturing teams.

- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and design reviews.

- Use Jira for task tracking and Confluence for documentation and design specifications.

- Collaborate via Bitbucket for version control and code reviews.

- Maintain clear documentation for UI components, workflows, and design standards.

Security & Quality :

- Ensure UI components comply with security standards and data access controls.

- Follow best practices for UI performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback to continuously improve user experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Mandatory Skills :

- 3- 5 years of experience in UI/UX design and development, preferably in IoT or industrial applications.

- Strong hands-on experience with ThingWorx Composer :

1. Thing Templates

2. Data Shapes

3. Responsive Mashups

- Deep understanding of ThingWorx architecture, reusable UI components, and modular design.

- Knowledge of industrial IoT protocols and tools :

1. Kepware

2. OPC UA

3. MQTT

- Experience handling high-volume data ingestion pipelines and real-time dashboards.

- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.

- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
