SiteRecon - Software Development Engineer II - Backend Technologies

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Take ownership of full product featuresdesign, develop, test, and deploy them across backend and frontend interfaces.

- Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.

- Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code using Python (Django/FastAPI) or Java (Spring Boot).

- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party APIs and tools.

- Build reusable frontend components using modern frameworks and libraries.

- Optimize performance for web and mobile platforms, including GIS-heavy map interfaces.

- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior developers as needed.

- Monitor production systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and deploy fixes proactively.

- Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape engineering best practices across the team.

Requirements :

- 4+ years of industry experience (excluding career breaks).

- Proficiency in Python or Java is a must.

- Strong understanding of full-stack development, including backend systems, APIs, and frontend interfaces.

- Must be able to join within 30 days from offer.

Preferred Tech Stack & Tools :

- Cloud & Messaging : Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Pub/Sub

- Database : PostgreSQL / PostGIS, Redis

- Frameworks : Django, FastAPI, Spring Boot

- GIS Tools : GDAL, GeoServer

- Frontend (nice to have) : JavaScript, React or similar

- Others : RESTful APIs, CI/CD, Docker, Git, Agile workflows
