Signify - IT Lead Functional Engineer

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced IT Lead Functional Engineer to drive functional design, solution alignment, and delivery excellence across enterprise IT systems. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring functional requirements are clearly defined, well-documented, and translated into effective technical solutions. This role demands strong domain knowledge, leadership capability, and hands-on involvement in solution design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead functional analysis and solution design for complex IT initiatives and enterprise applications.

- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.

- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of functional requirements.

- Provide functional leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including design reviews, testing, and deployment support.

- Validate system functionality through functional testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.

- Ensure solutions align with business processes, compliance standards, and organizational goals.

- Mentor junior functional analysts and provide guidance on best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8- 15 years of experience in functional analysis, business systems analysis, or IT solution design.

- Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems such as ERP, CRM, or custom business applications.

- Proven experience leading functional design and stakeholder engagements.

- Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills.

- Ability to work independently while leading functional ownership across initiatives.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Exposure to system integration, data flows, and enterprise architecture.

- Domain experience in Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or Manufacturing.
