What Youll Do :

- End-to-End Consumer Experience Architecture.

- Own the architecture vision for consumer journeys such as :

a. Feed & content discovery, Video & media delivery and creation flows, User identity, profile, and social graph.

b. Engagement loops (likes, comments, follows, shares).

- Create Low-latency, high-throughput user interactions and ensure consistency across Android, iOS, Web, and backend systems.

Scale, Performance & Reliability :

- Design systems to handle, High QPS, bursty traffic, and viral spikes, Sub-second latency SLAs for critical user paths.

- Define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for CX-critical systems.

Mobile-First :

- Partner with mobile teams to Optimize API contracts, payload sizes, and versioningEnable offline / poor-network user experiences.

Platformization & Reusability :

- Identify common CX capabilities and drive platform abstractions, such as : Experimentation & feature flag platforms, user and post workflows.

- Reduce duplication across teams by defining golden paths and reusable components.

Experimentation & Product Velocity :

- Architect systems that support High-velocity A/B experimentation, real-time config and feature rollouts, Safe experimentation at scale, Ensure experiments are Isolated, observable, and reversible, Cost-aware and performance-safe.

- Partner with data teams to enable fast feedback loops.

Data, Observability & Feedback Loops :

- Define observability standards for CX systems.

- Distributed tracing across mobile ? backend.

- User-centric metrics (p50/p95/p99 latency, engagement drop-offs)

Cost & Efficiency Ownership :

- Drive cost-aware architecture decisions.

- Right-sizing infra for consumer traffic.

Technical Leadership & Governance :

- Act as a technical authority for CX-related designs, Review and guide high-impact design docs.

- Resolve cross-team architectural conflicts.

- Set engineering standards, API design guidelines.

- Backward compatibility and deprecation policies.

- Mentor senior engineers and upcoming architects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Partner closely with Product managers on feasibility & trade-offs, Design teams on UX-driven technical decisions, SRE and Infra teams on reliability & scalability, Data & ML teams for personalization and ranking.

- Translate product vision into scalable technical execution.

Who are you?

- 8 to 12 years of experience in backend engineering.

- Proven experience in designing and developing large-scale, high-performance systems.

- Strong collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, operations, and business teams.

- Deep understanding of modern technologies, architectures, and industry best practices, with a keen interest in staying up to date with advancements in the field.

- Bachelor's degree (B.Tech. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering scalable and efficient solutions.

- Experience in leading or mentoring teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a plus
