Role : ServiceNow SAMPro Specialist
Role Overview :
As a ServiceNow SAMPro Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our clients' software assets using the ServiceNow platform. Your day-to-day activities will involve implementing, configuring, and maintaining the ServiceNow SAMPro module, ensuring accurate software inventory, license compliance, and cost optimization. You will collaborate closely with IT teams, procurement, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and provide ongoing support. Your expertise will directly impact our clients' ability to effectively manage their software investments, reduce risks associated with non-compliance, and achieve significant cost savings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement and configure the ServiceNow SAMPro module to meet client-specific requirements, ensuring accurate software discovery, normalization, and reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain software license models within ServiceNow SAMPro, enabling effective license management and compliance reporting for various software vendors.
- Conduct regular audits of software usage and license consumption, identifying potential compliance gaps and recommending remediation strategies to minimize risks for the client.
- Collaborate with IT teams and procurement to gather software asset data, validate license entitlements, and ensure data accuracy within the ServiceNow platform.
- Provide ongoing support and training to users on the ServiceNow SAMPro module, empowering them to effectively manage software assets and generate insightful reports.
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards within ServiceNow SAMPro, providing stakeholders with real-time visibility into software asset utilization, license compliance, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Participate in software contract negotiations and renewals, providing data-driven insights on software usage and license requirements to optimize spending for the client.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow SAMPro features and best practices, continuously improving the platform's capabilities and maximizing its value for the organization.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to implement and configure the ServiceNow SAMPro module, including software discovery, normalization, and reconciliation processes.
- Proven expertise in software license management principles and methodologies, including license modeling, compliance reporting, and cost optimization strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex software asset management issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with IT teams, procurement, and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, collaborating with team members both in-office and remotely.
- 3 - 9 years of experience in ServiceNow SAMPro.
