Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow SAM Developer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore or Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, and finance, to ensure accurate software asset tracking, compliance, and optimization. Your work will directly impact the organization's ability to manage software costs effectively, mitigate risks associated with non-compliance, and improve overall IT efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement ServiceNow SAM Pro solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational policies.

- Configure and customize the ServiceNow SAM module, including discovery sources, reconciliation rules, software models, and license entitlements.

- Integrate ServiceNow SAM with other IT systems, such as procurement, finance, and service management tools, to automate data flows and improve accuracy.

- Develop and maintain custom scripts, workflows, and business rules to enhance the functionality of the ServiceNow SAM module.

- Conduct software asset audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies, optimize license utilization, and ensure compliance with software vendor agreements.

- Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders on ServiceNow SAM best practices, processes, and functionalities.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow SAM, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow SAM features, functionalities, and industry trends, and recommend improvements to the existing SAM solution.

- Create and maintain documentation related to ServiceNow SAM configurations, processes, and procedures.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation, configuration, and customization.

- Proven ability to design and develop custom scripts, workflows, and business rules within the ServiceNow platform.

- Strong understanding of software asset management principles, processes, and best practices.

- Experience integrating ServiceNow SAM with other IT systems, such as procurement, finance, and service management tools.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to software asset management.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM) certifications are highly preferred.

- Minimum 7- 15 years of experience in ServiceNow development with a focus on SAM.
