Job Role : ServiceNow ITOM Developer.

Experience : 5 Years.

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITOM CMDB Developer with 4+ years of experience to design, implement, and optimize CMDB and ITOM capabilities within the ServiceNow platform.

The candidate will play a critical role in CMDB data modeling, Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations, ensuring data accuracy and platform stability.

Key Responsibilities :

CMDB Development & Management :

- Design, implement, and maintain CMDB data models (CSDM aligned).

- Ensure data integrity, normalization, and reconciliation within CMDB.

- Manage CI class structures, relationships, and dependencies.

- Perform CMDB health checks, audits, and governance enforcement.

ITOM Implementation :

- Develop and support ServiceNow ITOM modules:

1. Discovery.

2. Service Mapping.

3. Event Management (preferred).

4. Cloud Discovery (nice to have).

- Configure and troubleshoot MID Server setups and integrations.

ServiceNow Development :

- Develop using:

1. Business Rules.

2. Script Includes.

3. Client Scripts.

4. Flow Designer / Workflows.

- Customize modules while ensuring OOTB best practices are followed.

Integrations & Automation:

- Build integrations using:

1. REST/SOAP APIs.

2. IntegrationHub / Flow Designer. Integrate ServiceNow with third-party monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds, Dynatrace).

Discovery & Service Mapping:

- Configure and optimize Discovery schedules and probes/patterns.

- Implement and maintain Service Mapping for business services.

- Troubleshoot issues related to CI identification and reconciliation rules (IRE).

Governance & Best Practices:

- Ensure alignment with:

1. CSDM (Common Service Data Model).

2. ServiceNow best practices.

- Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.

Required Skills & Experience:

Mandatory:

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.

- Strong expertise in:

1. CMDB & CSDM framework.

2. ITOM (Discovery & Service Mapping).

- Proficiency in:

1. JavaScript, Glide APIs.

2. REST/SOAP integrations.

- Experience with:

1. MID Server configuration.

2. CI lifecycle management.

Preferred:

- Experience in:

1. Event Management / AIOps.

2. Cloud Discovery (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Exposure to:

1. ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change).

2. Knowledge of Agile / Scrum delivery model.

Education:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Computer Science / IT or related field.

Certifications (Preferred):

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ITOM.

- CMDB Fundamentals / CSDM training.
