ServiceNow Developer - ITSM Module

Description :

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in the ITSM module along with at least one additional module such as HRSD, CSM, ITOM, ITAM, Service Portal, HAM, or SAM.

The ideal candidate should have strong scripting capabilities, integration experience, and hands-on development expertise in building scalable ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Core Development :

- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions across ITSM and other modules (HRSD/CSM/ITOM/ITAM/Portal/HAM/SAM)

- Customize ServiceNow applications using business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, and Script Includes

- Develop workflows, Flow Designer flows, and automation solutions

- Configure Service Catalog items, record producers, and catalog workflows

- Build and enhance Service Portal widgets and UI components

ITSM Responsibilities :

- Configure Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management modules

- Implement SLA, notifications, and approvals

- Create dashboards, reports, and performance analytics

- Configure CMDB and relationship mapping

Module-Specific Responsibilities (Any of below) :

- HRSD : HR case management, lifecycle events, employee service center

- CSM : Case management, customer service portal, entitlement setup

- ITOM : Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management

- ITAM : Asset lifecycle, procurement, inventory management

- HAM : Hardware asset lifecycle and reconciliation

- SAM : Software asset management, licensing compliance

- Portal : Service Portal development, widgets, branding

Scripting & Integration (Mandatory) :

- Strong scripting using JavaScript, Glide API, and Script Includes

- Develop REST and SOAP integrations

- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools (HRMS, monitoring tools, AD, etc.)

- Work with MID Server configurations

- Build inbound/outbound integrations and data transformations

Platform Development :

- Develop scoped applications

- Configure ACLs and security rules

- Create UI pages and UI macros

- Work on update sets and deployments

- Handle instance upgrades and patching

Collaboration & Delivery :

- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements

- Translate requirements into technical design

- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies

- Provide production support and issue resolution

- Maintain documentation and knowledge transfer

Required Skills :

Must Have :

- 5-10 years of IT experience

- 3+ years hands-on ServiceNow development

- Strong experience in ITSM module

- Experience in at least one : HRSD / CSM / ITOM / ITAM / Portal / HAM / SAM

- Strong JavaScript and Glide scripting

- REST/SOAP API integrations (Mandatory)

- Flow Designer & Workflow development

- Service Catalog & Portal development

- Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies

- CMDB knowledge
