ServiceNow Developer - ITOM/CMDB

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Developer with hands-on expertise in Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB, and platform integrations. The candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting ITOM solutions, maintaining CMDB health, and integrating ServiceNow with enterprise monitoring and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow ITOM solutions across Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration, and CMDB.

Configure and maintain MID Servers, Discovery schedules, patterns, and credentials.

Implement and maintain Service Mapping for business services and applications.

Configure Event Management, including event rules, alert correlation, event processing, and dashboards.

Maintain CMDB health through data normalization, reconciliation, CI identification, and relationship management.

Work with CSDM to maintain accurate and consistent configuration data.

Develop workflows, business rules, and scripts using JavaScript and Glide APIs.

Integrate ServiceNow with third-party monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace, and Splunk.

Develop and support REST/SOAP integrations.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB, and MID Servers.

Collaborate with ITSM, SecOps, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Support ServiceNow upgrades, patching, releases, and platform enhancements.

Participate in automation and orchestration initiatives to improve IT operations.

Mandatory Skills:

47 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with strong ITOM experience.

Hands-on experience with:

ServiceNow Discovery

Service Mapping

Event Management

CMDB

CSDM

MID Server

Strong understanding of Discovery patterns, schedules, probes/sensors, and CI relationships.

Experience with REST/SOAP integrations.

Strong JavaScript and Glide API skills.

Understanding of ITIL processes.

Exposure to AWS/Azure and cloud discovery.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

ServiceNow CSA certification.

ServiceNow CIS-ITOM certification.

Experience with Cloud Discovery.

Exposure to Kubernetes/containers.

Experience with automation and orchestration.

Exposure to Jenkins, Git, AIOps, or Predictive Intelligence.

Experience working in large enterprise environments.
