Job Description

Role Overview :

The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications on the ServiceNow platform in a DevOps delivery model. The role requires strong technical proficiency in ServiceNow development, Automated Test Framework (ATF), and UI/UX design using Next Experience (Polaris) and Workspace capabilities. The developer will work closely with the Technical Lead, Product Owners, and QA to deliver high-quality and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Development & Enhancement :

- Design, develop, and configure custom applications, flows, and integrations on ServiceNow.

- Build intuitive and modern user experiences using UI Builder, Now Experience Components, and Service Portal.

- Implement reusable components following ServiceNow best practices.

- Contribute to backlog refinement, effort estimation, and sprint planning.

Testing & Quality Automation :

- Selenium experience is must for regression and smoke testing.

- Ensure automation coverage across all major workflows and forms.

- Collaborate with QA and DevOps engineers to integrate ATF into CI/CD pipelines.

UI/UX Development :

- Develop rich, responsive, and accessible interfaces leveraging UI Builder, Workspaces, and Catalog UI Policies.

- Work with business analysts to translate user journeys and personas into seamless digital experiences.

- Optimize performance and maintain consistent UI standards across applications.

DevOps & Continuous Improvement :

- Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum, retrospectives, sprint demos).

- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment practices using Git, pipelines, and update sets.

- Identify opportunities for automation and platform optimization.

Support & Maintenance :

- Handle development-related incidents, enhancements, and change requests from the backlog.

- Perform root cause analysis and propose sustainable technical fixes.

- Support platform upgrades and workspace/UI migrations when required.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow development (JavaScript, Glide APIs, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts).

- Selenium, maintenance, and execution.

- Hands-on in UI Builder, Workspaces, and Service Portal development.

- Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and REST/SOAP integrations.

- Understanding of Agile/DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

- Good knowledge of data models, ACLs, and ServiceNow platform security.

Certifications (Preferred) :

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

- ServiceNow UI Builder / ATF Specialist certification (if available)

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Next Experience (Polaris) and Now Assist features.

- Familiarity with Design System (UI Frameworks) and ServiceNow UX Design standards.

- Exposure to UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) or front-end frameworks (React).

- Knowledge of ESG, IRM, RTR, OTC, T&T, Legal Service Delivery.
