Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery & Service Mapping Specialist with a minimum of 7 years of relevant ServiceNow experience and strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow ITOM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for CMDB governance, Discovery implementation and troubleshooting, Service Mapping, data quality management, and infrastructure integration. The candidate should be capable of independently managing enterprise-level CMDB and ITOM activities while collaborating with infrastructure, application, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, configure, and maintain ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping solutions.

- Configure and manage Discovery schedules, credentials, MID Servers, Discovery Patterns, and Pattern Designer.

- Troubleshoot Discovery issues involving servers, network devices, databases, storage, virtualization, cloud resources, and applications.

- Develop and maintain Service Maps for critical business applications and services.

- Configure and maintain the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and CI Class Manager.

- Perform CMDB Health assessments and improve data completeness, correctness, and compliance.

- Identify and resolve duplicate Configuration Items (CIs), reconciliation conflicts, identification errors, and other CMDB data quality issues.

- Manage CMDB Data Manager, Data Certification, and CMDB Health Dashboard activities.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to onboard new services and applications into CMDB and Service Mapping.

- Monitor Discovery performance and optimize schedules, patterns, and MID Server configurations.

- Support integrations with monitoring, infrastructure, and asset management tools.

- Provide L3 technical support for complex CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping issues.

- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.

- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes related to CMDB and ITOM.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 7 years of relevant ServiceNow experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in CMDB, Discovery, ITOM, and Service Mapping.

- Good understanding of IRE, identification rules, reconciliation rules, and CI Class Manager.

- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting MID Servers.

- Hands-on experience with Discovery Patterns and Pattern Designer.

- Experience implementing and maintaining Service Maps.

- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Windows, Linux, Unix, network devices, databases, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.

- Experience with CMDB Health Dashboard, CMDB Data Manager, and Data Certification.

- Good knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Ability to independently manage enterprise-level CMDB and ITOM activities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Cloud Discovery and ITOM Visibility.

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery.

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Service Mapping.

- ITIL Foundation V4 certification.

Candidate Screening Criteria :

- Relevant Experience : Minimum 7 years of relevant ServiceNow experience is mandatory. Profiles with less than 7 years of relevant experience will be rejected.

- Location : Bengaluru / Pune.

- Candidates must demonstrate hands-on expertise in CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, IRE, and MID Server troubleshooting.
