Job Description :

The Configuration Manager CMDB Architect is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensuring strategic alignment and ongoing process health to support and promote customer business and IT goals. The candidate will drive the configuration management and IT asset management spaces. He/She works independently to architect, design, and develop the Service Asset Configuration Management.

Role Responsibilities :

- Design and delivery of the Configuration Management processes, the ServiceNow CMDB, ServiceNow discovery, and IT Asset Mgmt (Software and Hardware).

- Years of demonstrated experience in Configuration Management development, CI discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB integrations with the Service Now CMDB module.

- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting Service Now Discovery, CMDB and ITAM database structures, data management, and process enhancement.

- Delivery of a single source of truth for all configuration items (e.g., applications, servers, databases, etc.) and their relationships.

- Design of CMDB for specific use cases as needed (e.g., patching and vulnerability management, request automation, business continuity management, etc.).

- Management and improvement of discovery processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with ServiceNow recommendations for CMDB, Service Mapping, and discovery configuration.

- Proactive identification of data and functionality gaps in ServiceNow CMDB and discovery.

- Planning, designing, and implementing of the Service Model in CMDB to ensure visibility across the infrastructure environment.

- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting Service Now Discovery, CMDB, and process enhancement.

- Strong hands-on experience in optimizing discovery, tailoring patterns, and development.

- Code and develop customized patterns, probes, and sensors for Discovery and Service Mapping.

- Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery.

- Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle).

- Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services.

- Strong collaboration with stakeholders, including internal customers, stakeholders, and vendors to understand challenges and gain consensus on improved system and operational solutions.

- Proficiency of ServiceNow administration, JavaScript, and common scripting languages such as PowerShell highly preferred.

- Service Now System Administrator Certification preferred.

- Service Now Implementation Specialist Certification preferred.
