Role Overview :

As a ServiceNow CMDB & CSDM Consultant, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solutions leveraging the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into effective CMDB strategies and solutions. Your expertise will ensure accurate and reliable configuration data, enabling better IT service management, incident resolution, change management, and overall operational efficiency for our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM solutions for clients, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business requirements.

- Configure and customize ServiceNow Discovery to accurately identify and map IT infrastructure and applications, enhancing CMDB population.

- Develop and maintain data models within the CMDB, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness for informed decision-making.

- Implement reconciliation rules and processes to resolve data conflicts and maintain data quality across various data sources, improving CMDB reliability.

- Develop and maintain Service Mapping to visually represent the relationships between IT components and business services, enabling proactive incident management.

- Provide expert guidance and support to clients on CMDB and CSDM best practices, driving adoption and maximizing the value of their ServiceNow investment.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CMDB data with other ServiceNow modules, such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management, streamlining IT processes.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for CMDB processes, configurations, and data models, ensuring knowledge transfer and maintainability.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design and implement ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM solutions, driving improved IT service management.

- Proven expertise in configuring and customizing ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping, enhancing CMDB population and service visibility.

- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and experience in developing and maintaining CMDB data models, ensuring data integrity.

- Experience in implementing reconciliation rules and processes to maintain data quality across various data sources, improving CMDB reliability.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and client needs.
