About the Role :
Red Elk Studios is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer & Unity Artist to design and implement compelling user interfaces and experiences for our gaming projects.
You will work across platformsmobile (iOS/Android), PC, and consoleto create intuitive, visually polished UI that enhances gameplay, player progression, event participation, and overall immersion.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in UI/UX design, Unity implementation (UGUI/UI Toolkit), and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own end-to-end UI/UX design : translate product/game requirements into wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and final assets.
- Implement UI in Unity using C#, ensuring responsive layouts, animations, transitions, and smooth gameplay integration.
- Design and maintain UI style guides, reusable component libraries, and accessibility standards to ensure consistency.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, artists, developers, and live-ops teams to ship frequent UI updates and optimize workflows.
- Create immersive HUDs and interfaces for game systems such as progression, missions, weapon upgrades, events, leaderboards, and inventory management.
- Lead rapid prototyping and iteration cycles using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Unity itself.
- Optimize UI performance and scalability across devices and input methods (touch, controller, mouse).
- Collect and apply player feedback via usability testing and analytics to refine UI for better conversion, retention, and engagement.
- Support localization, multi-language layouts, and platform compliance.
Required Qualifications :
- 5 to 8 years of professional UI/UX experience in games or interactive entertainment.
- Proficient in Unity UI systems (UGUI/UI Toolkit) and C# scripting for UI components and state management.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end UI/UX design, Unity prefabs, animations/motion, and design systems.
- Skilled in wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and asset preparation (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience shipping mobile (iOS/Android) and ideally multi-platform titles, with understanding of resolution, input handling, and platform-specific UI challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to work within live-ops environments delivering frequent UI updates.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with console/PC UI and controller navigation design.
- Knowledge of localization workflows, accessibility standards, and asset management pipelines.
- Familiarity with game economy UX, monetization interfaces, and event frameworks.
- Basic skills in 2D/3D animation tools (Spine, Timeline, Animator) and UI performance profiling (Profiler, RenderDoc).
- Passion for simulation, tactical shooters, open-world, or system-heavy games.
