Senior System Engineer - RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable IT systems and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in system architecture, performance optimization, automation, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring high availability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level systems and infrastructure

- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of servers and services

- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis

- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations

- Implement automation scripts to improve operational efficiency

- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams

- Enforce security best practices and compliance standards

- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures

- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior system engineers

- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- 5+ years of experience in system engineering or systems administration

- Strong experience with operating systems : Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and/or Windows Server

- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies : VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM

- Experience with cloud platforms : AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Strong knowledge of scripting and automation : Bash, PowerShell, Python

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools

- Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
