Role : Senior Systems Engineer APIGW

Location : India (Remote)

Night Shift (9:00 PM to 6:00 AM IST)

As an APIGEE/Layer 7 Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust API management solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with architects, developers, and security teams to ensure the seamless integration of APIs across various platforms and environments.

Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing API performance, enhancing security, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients' digital transformation journeys by enabling secure and scalable API ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement API management solutions using Apigee and Layer 7 technologies to meet client requirements.

- Develop and maintain API proxies, policies, and security configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.

- Collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs into existing systems and applications, ensuring seamless data exchange.

- Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, providing timely and effective support to clients and internal teams.

- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential API performance bottlenecks.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for API designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in API management, cloud computing, and security to continuously improve our solutions.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design and implement API management solutions using Apigee and/or Layer 7 platforms.

- Proven expertise in developing and configuring API proxies, policies, and security configurations.

- Strong understanding of API security principles, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell Scripting.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
