Job Title : Senior Software Engineer Backend (Java/Kotlin)

Work Mode : Hybrid 3 days work from office

Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Trivandrum. The role involves building scalable, high-performance backend systems using modern Java-based technologies and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java/Spring Boot/Microservices

- Build and integrate event-driven systems using Kafka

- Work on high-availability, scalable, and distributed systems

- Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

- Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best engineering practices

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on performance and reliability

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 - 10 years of strong backend development experience

- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture

- Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms

- Exposure to Kotlin is a strong plus

- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, data structures, and system design

- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices

Good to Have :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

- Prior experience working in high-scale or product-based environments
