Role Overview :

As an Oracle Retail Xstore Senior Developer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of complex POS solutions within our retail client environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, solution architects, and client stakeholders, to translate intricate retail requirements into scalable technical implementations. Your work will directly influence the stability and efficiency of mission-critical retail operations, ensuring that our clients can deliver uninterrupted service to their end customers across multiple store locations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop customized solutions within the Oracle Retail Xstore framework to meet specific client business requirements and operational workflows.

- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Oracle POS systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise resource planning and inventory management platforms.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the Xstore environment to minimize downtime and maintain high system availability for retail store operations.

- Collaborate with internal development teams to perform code reviews and enforce best practices in Java-based development to ensure high-quality, maintainable software.

- Manage the integration of third-party payment gateways and peripheral hardware to ensure a unified and secure checkout experience for retail customers.

- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the engineering team.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and configuring Oracle Retail Xstore and Oracle POS systems for large-scale retail environments.

- Advanced proficiency in Java development, with a strong ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code for enterprise-grade applications.

- Proven capability in managing complex Oracle integrations, ensuring data consistency and real-time communication between POS and back-office systems.

- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks or integration failures in high-pressure retail environments.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead client-facing discussions effectively.

- Ability to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment based in Bangalore, demonstrating flexibility in managing project timelines and shifting priorities.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, supported by 8 to 15 years of hands-on experience in the retail technology domain.
