Role Summary :

The SAP Senior TM Functional Consultant will lead design, configuration, and deployment of SAP TM solutions on S/4HANA, supporting complex logistics and transportation processes. The role requires strong hands-on TM configuration expertise, deep integration knowledge, and experience working in cloud-enabled SAP landscapes (RISE, BTP, CPI).

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end SAP TM implementations on S/4HANA

- Own transportation business process design including :

a. Freight Order Management

b. Freight Unit & Capacity Planning

c. Transportation Planning & Optimization

d. Carrier Selection & Tendering

e. Freight Settlement & Charge Management

- Configure SAP TM components including :

a. Organizational structure & master data

b. Transportation lanes, resources, and costs

c. Charge calculation sheets & settlement profiles

- Drive integration with SAP S/4HANA modules :

a. SD (Delivery, Billing)

b. MM (Inbound logistics)

c. EWM (Warehouse integration)

d. FI (Freight settlement, accruals)

- Work with SAP BTP / CPI for cloud-based integrations with :

a. 3PLs, carriers, tracking platforms

b. External TMS or logistics partners

c. Support embedded TM or side-car TM deployment models

d. Lead functional workshops, blueprint sessions, and stakeholder discussions

e. Provide guidance to technical teams for enhancements, BADIs, and Fiori apps

f. Support UAT, cutover planning, and post go-live stabilization

Required Skills & Expertise :

- SAP TM Functional

- Strong hands-on experience in :

a. SAP TM on S/4HANA (embedded or standalone)

b. Transportation planning, execution, and settlement

- Experience with global logistics scenarios (inbound, outbound, intercompany)

- Knowledge of freight costing, track and trace charge management, and settlement integration

- SAP TM certification

- S/4HANA & Integration

- Experience integrating TM with : SD, MM, EWM, FI

- Understanding of IDOCs, APIs, and CPI-based integrations

- Familiarity with Fiori apps in SAP TM

- Cloud & Modern SAP Landscape

- Experience with : SAP S/4HANA Cloud or RISE with SAP

- SAP BTP (CPI, Integration Suite functional understanding)

- Exposure to hybrid landscapes (on-prem + cloud)

Good to Have :

- Experience with global rollouts or multi-country deployments

- Exposure to logistics execution KPIs and analytics

- Experience working with agile delivery models

- Knowledge of carrier collaboration portals / track & trace tools

Soft Skills :

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Ability to translate business logistics requirements into scalable SAP TM solutions

- Experience working independently in client-facing roles

- Mentoring junior TM consultants and reviewing functional designs.
