Job Summary
:

We are seeking a Senior SAP Master Data Specialist with deep expertise in SAP MDG/MDM to lead or individually contribute across all master data domains-Material, Customer, Vendor/Business Partner, and Finance objects (Cost Center, Profit Center, GL Account). The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end master data governance, data quality management, and S/4HANA migration readiness, while establishing scalable governance frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional teams and data stewards.

Key Responsibilities
:

- Master data governance
:
Define and implement governance frameworks, data ownership models, and stewardship processes across Material, Customer, Vendor/BP, and Finance master data domains.

- SAP MDG configuration & implementation
:
Configure and customize SAP MDG for all relevant domains (MDG-M, MDG-C, MDG-S, MDG-F), including data models, business rules, workflows, UI enhancements, and change request processes.

- Data quality & cleansing
:
Lead data profiling, de-duplication, standardization, and validation activities to ensure migration-ready master data aligned to S/4HANA target structures.

- Migration & transformation
:
Design data mapping, transformation logic, and load strategies using SAP Migration Cockpit, BODS, or equivalent tools for ECC-to-S/4HANA conversions.

- Stakeholder collaboration
:
Partner with SMEs, project managers, data stewards, and technical teams to define data ownership, approve business rules, and drive cutover readiness.

- DQ monitoring & reporting
:
Establish data quality KPIs, scorecards, and exception dashboards; communicate progress and remediation status to leadership on a regular cadence.

- Solution design & best practices
:
Provide thought leadership on MDG/MDM architecture, evaluate fit-gap for standard vs. custom solutions, and recommend best practices aligned to SAP's latest roadmap.

- Mentoring & knowledge transfer
:
Guide junior team members, conduct workshops, and build reusable documentation to strengthen the organization's master data capabilities.

Qualifications
:

- Proven expertise in SAP MDG/MDM across multiple master data domains (Material, Customer, Vendor/BP, Finance).

- Strong knowledge of ECC and S/4HANA master data structures, data models, and cross-domain dependencies.

- Hands-on experience with SAP data migration tools (Migration Cockpit, LSMW, etc.) and data quality best practices.

- Ability to lead teams and work independently in fast-paced, multi-workstream project environments.

Education
:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience
:

- 8-14 years of SAP experience with at least 4-5 years focused on SAP MDG/MDM implementation across Material, Customer, Vendor/BP, and Finance domains.

- Proven track record in at least 2-3 full-cycle SAP MDG or S/4HANA master data migration projects, including greenfield and/or brownfield scenarios.

- Experience in configuring MDG data models, change requests, workflows, validations/derivations, and UI enhancements (Fiori/Web Dynpro).

Certifications
:

- SAP MDG or SAP Master Data Management certification preferred.

Technical Skills
:

- SAP MDG (MDG-M, MDG-C, MDG-S, MDG-F)
:
data models, BRF+, change requests, workflows, and Fiori apps.

- SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, LSMW, BODS/Syniti for data extraction, transformation, and load.

- Data quality techniques
:

- Proficiency with Excel (advanced), SQL, and familiarity with scripting/automation for repeatable data tasks.

Work Environment
:

Currently, the work environment will be hybrid but can be changed based on management decisions or need. However, in case deemed necessary, candidate might need to travel to client location onshore/offshore based on client requirements.
