Description :

The Senior SAP Basis HANA Administrator will act as a technical lead for SAP platform operations, managing enterprise SAP landscapes and driving architectural improvements, upgrades, and cloud initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership capabilities along with deep technical expertise in SAP architecture, HANA administration, and high availability environments.

This role will work closely with client stakeholders, architects, and project teams to ensure SAP platforms remain stable, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Landscape Architecture :

- Design and maintain SAP technical architecture for large-scale enterprise landscapes.

- Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of SAP systems.

Technical Leadership :

- Lead global SAP BASIS teams supporting production environments.

- Coordinate tasks with vendor-led teams and ensure service delivery standards.

SAP Upgrades & Transformation :

- Lead SAP upgrade initiatives, particularly S/4HANA upgrades and migrations.

- Manage database upgrades, kernel upgrades, and add-on deployments.

Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy :

- Drive adoption of SAP on Cloud (Azure preferred).

- Participate in cloud migration and infrastructure optimization projects.

System Integration :

- Resolve complex integration challenges across SAP and non-SAP platforms.

Release & Change Management :

- Work with Change and Release Management teams to ensure stable system releases.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery :

- Design and maintain HA/DR architectures including :

- HANA System Replication

- ASCS/ERS clusters

- Pacemaker clusters

Monitoring & Automation :

- Implement proactive monitoring using SAP Solution Manager and automation tools.

- Improve operational efficiency through automation and process improvements.

Stakeholder Management :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and infrastructure teams.

- Provide technical consulting and strategic recommendations.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing :

- Create architecture documentation, blueprints, and technical workshops.

- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.

Required Technical Skills :

SAP Expertise :

- Deep expertise in SAP BASIS administration and architecture

- Experience managing large SAP landscapes in enterprise environments

HANA Administration :

- Advanced experience in :

- HANA performance tuning

- Parameterization

- HANA system replication

- Failover and disaster recovery

SAP Upgrades :

- Hands-on experience with :

Infrastructure :

- Linux / Windows server administration

- VMware virtualization

- Failover clustering technologies

Cloud Platforms :

- Experience implementing SAP solutions on :

- Microsoft Azure (preferred)

- AWS

- Google Cloud

Process & Governance :

- Experience working with :

- ITIL processes

- Incident, Change, and Release Management

- Structured project management methodologies

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP BASIS Certifications

- SAP HANA administration certifications

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager monitoring
