Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior SAP Basis Engineer to lead the installation, maintenance, tuning, and optimization of our enterprise SAP environments. In this role, you will act as a core infrastructure anchor, managing day-to-day Application Basis administration and collaborating directly with the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) team to govern high-performance, multi-tenant environments hosted on SAP RISE and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Level 3 practitioner who bridges the gap between traditional on-premises SAP environments and modern cloud-native landscapes. You will be responsible for orchestrating complex S/4HANA upgrades, managing system refreshes across multi-track parallel development paths (N and N+1 landscapes), provisioning SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services, implementing granular database governance, and configuring automated system monitoring frameworks inside Solution Manager to guarantee absolute performance and high availability.

Key Responsibilities :

- S/4HANA Infrastructure Delivery : Perform end-to-end SAP S/4HANA core installations, kernel updates, feature upgrades, support package stacks (SPS) deployments, system copies, and database refreshes on cloud hosting zones.

- SAP RISE & Cloud Operations : Partner closely with the SAP ECS Team to manage application workloads, troubleshoot performance issues, and support multi-tier landscapes running on SAP RISE and GCP Platforms.

- Landscape & Change Governance : Create and administer the Transport Domain Controller and govern the Transport Management System (TMS). Implement Change Request Management (ChaRM) and Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (CALM) models to ensure clean deployment tracking.

- System Profiling & Telemetry : Design, configure, and maintain Solution Manager Technical Monitoring dashboards to proactively track host metrics, catch transaction gridlocks, and ensure platform health against operational KPIs/SLAs.

- HANA Database Administration : Develop and execute strict SAP BASIS and HANA DB database administration routines, managing table spaces, backup verification, and memory optimization parameters.

- BTP & Security Integration : Configure and support advanced connectivity layouts within SAP BTP (Integration Suite, Analytics Cloud, Data Sphere, IAS, IAG) and enforce enterprise-grade security layers utilizing SAP GRC.

- Production Continuity : Provide dedicated 24x7 production infrastructure support on a periodic on-call rotation, rapidly mitigating critical runtime anomalies.

Skills & Qualifications :

Required Technical DNA :

- Platform Core Specialization : Deep functional administration and system tuning mastery within SAP S/4HANA and SAP Basis infrastructure layers.

- Database Competency : Hands-on operational and maintenance experience supporting HANA DB instances.

- Tenure : 6+ years of total IT experience, with a minimum of 4 years spent in active enterprise SAP Basis engineering roles.

- ECS Customer Delivery : Proven experience collaborating directly with SAP ECS teams to manage cloud environments (Highly Preferred).

- Next-Gen Web Frameworks : Strong administrative familiarity connecting components inside SAP BTP ecosystems and configuring SAP GRC security rules.

- Practical background using Solution Manager ChaRM, CALM, and custom technical monitoring tools.
