Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Senior Consultant to lead and manage a team of L1 and L2 consultants in a 24x7 support environment. The role requires strong technical expertise in SAP Basis administration along with leadership capabilities to ensure smooth operations, system performance, and continuous service improvement across SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage shift-based operations for a team of 10- 15 SAP Basis consultants, ensuring high service quality and adherence to SLAs

- Provide end-to-end SAP Basis support across S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite, EWM, and related systems

- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and transport management using ChaRM and CTMS

- Manage SAP HANA environments, including performance optimization, troubleshooting, and database administration across ERP, BW, and BW/4HANA systems

- Execute system refreshes, upgrades, kernel updates, and patch management activities

- Conduct data growth analysis and implement archiving, deletion, and partitioning strategies

- Drive incident, problem, and change management processes aligned with ITIL best practices

- Prepare and manage shift rosters, ensuring optimal resource allocation and productivity

- Collaborate with infrastructure and cross-functional teams for system sizing, capacity planning, and HA/DR strategies

- Maintain system documentation, ensure audit readiness, and support compliance requirements

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues

- Support SAP installations, migrations, and landscape transformations

- Mentor and train junior consultants, ensuring continuous knowledge sharing and team development

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration (ABAP and Java Stack)

- Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager, Focused Run (FRUN), and SAP Cloud ALM

- Experience with operating systems : Unix, Linux, and Windows

- Database knowledge : SAP HANA, ASE, Oracle, DB2, MaxDB

- Proficiency in SAP system installations, upgrades, system copies, and refreshes

- Strong understanding of performance monitoring (CPU, memory, disk I/O) and system optimization

- Experience with transport management tools (ChaRM, CTMS)

- Knowledge of Unicode conversions and user administration

- Familiarity with backup and recovery processes

Must-Have Execution Skills :

- Proven experience in leading and managing teams of 10- 20 members in a shift-based environment

- Hands-on experience in multiple SAP support and maintenance projects

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management

- Ability to independently handle system planning, sizing, and architecture-related tasks

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex SAP landscapes
