Role Overview :

The Sr. SAP Basis Administrator is a member of the SAP Basis Operations team and Application Group in the Techtronic Industries IT Organization, whose goal is to architect and support our SAP Landscape and Business Applications on both On-Prem and in Cloud Operations.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the company's SAP applications owners, IT Infrastructure team and Server/Network team.

- Conduct refreshes of non-production environments with production data in SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8 on Oracle and BW 7.5 on Oracle and MS SQL DB.

- Experience in planning and executing a full landscape upgrade, managing technical plan in conjunction with functional validation, and end user testing leveraging Solution Manager 7.2 on Hana.

- Experience as a technical leader or a project manager of sub-projects of enterprise-level initiatives. Provide guidance and leadership to onshore and offshore teams.

- Maintenance and Enhancement of all SAP/NetWeaver components of TTI's SAP systems, including ERP On-Prem, NetWeaver Gateway, Third-Party GRC Software, SAP CPI connections to C4C SDK, Cloud Commerce B2C, Solution Manager on HANA, BW, Business Objects, and ETL (SAP BODS, SLT, and future Master Data Management Platform.

- Implement Single sign on for all SAP applications mentioned above.

- Help troubleshoot EDI transactions.

- Responsible for SAP Basis Configuration, installation, performance tuning, upgrades, CTS setup, diagnosis and resolution of system issues.

- Administer SAP BODS, SAP SLT and tune the performance of the system and its databases.

- Plan and implement kernel, client and server upgrades for SAP applications. Experience with Maintenance Planner, Software Update Manager, SPDD, and SPAU, SAP Notes, Support packs and add-on implementation using SUM tool and installations with SWPM tool.

- Support Cyber Security Group as necessary for different SAP systems and applications.

- Configure, maintain, and monitor SAP Web Dispatcher for load balancing HTTP(S) traffic.

- Manage and monitor SAP printers. Troubleshoot spool processes, print servers and external output management systems.

- Perform Change Management for application and database layers using TMS, HANA ALM, and portal transport packages.

- Perform periodic Basis administration activities, performance monitoring, resolving ECC Performance issues with front end and backend systems, SLT and side car setup and monitoring.

- Experience in working with external vendor software like ShipERP, FedEx, UPS, Esker, Cloud solutions, Vertex, Logility Supply Chain.

- Administration of SAP HANA platform and databases using HANA studio and HANA Cockpit.

- Design and monitor databases for high availability, optimal performance, database health and security.

- Apply SSL certificates for various third-party software on SAP systems in the landscape.

- Perform upgrades on the SAP HANA platform and install patches as necessary.

- Perform HANA replication and monitor disaster recovery sites as necessary.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or higher, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.

- Solid knowledge of SAP ABAP Authorization Objects and Structural Authorizations.

- Experience in implementation of SAP SSO in SAP.

Knowledge of SAP HANA System administration :

- Monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP HANA systems.

- HANA system administration using SAP HANA Cockpit and HANA Studio.

- Experience in managing users and roles in SAP HANA systems.

- Implementing SAP HANA table management techniques - data compression, table partition, compression techniques, and load/unload table into memory.

- HANA Installation, Data Provisioning, Admin and Modeling Experience with SAP HANA Security, HANA XS(A) Application service, and monitoring of HANA systems.

- Experience as a technical leader or a project manager of sub-projects of enterprise-level initiatives.

- Experience with SAP and non-SAP Cloud Solutions/technologies including experience with SAP CPI, SAP HANA, SAP C4C SDK, SAP Cloud Commerce Platforms, HTML, XML, ABAP, JS Nodes, Java, Python, etc. and third-party Cyber Security Software in SAP environment.

- Experience in design and implement an optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability.

- Experience with components SAP ECC, SAP BW, GW, Solution Manager, BOBJ, ETL Tools, Third-Party Security Software, Web dispatcher, SAP Router, Knowledge of Infrastructure, network, and operating systems.

- Other RDBMS knowledge (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo, MaxDB).

- Knowledge of Linux, Unix, Solaris, Windows Server, related utilities and Network and Application performance monitor Tools. Requires strong troubleshooting ability.

- Understands SAP protocols/standards (e.g. EDI, APPC, CPI-C, BDC, RFC, ALE, OLE, BAPI, Archive link).

- Experience in Maintaining SAP performance by planning and executing SAP tuning strategies.

- 10+ years' experience in SAP BASIS Administration.

- 10+ years' experience with SAP environments : Enterprise Central Component (ECC), Business Information Warehouse (BW), Business Intelligence (BI), Business Objects and ETL/Data Integrator Tools.

- 10+ years' experience in troubleshooting system performance problems and problems during system installations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability and willingness to adapt and improve technical capabilities.

- Willingness to go above and beyond to complete tasks and projects.

- Ability to work independently with little guidance, as well as the ability to multitask.

- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other team members.

- Ability to work outside normal business hours without prior notice in response to high priority issues.

Preferred Skills :

- Solid Experience in SAP Solution Manager such as : SLD strategy, Basic SOLMAN setup, Maintenance Planner setup with SLD and LMDB, EWA setup.
