Project Background :

Our client is currently in the final planning stages of a major SAP S/4HANA transformation program, which is expected to run over the next 4 - 5 years. As part of this transformation, the organization is expanding and standardizing its global supply planning capabilities using SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP).

The client has already implemented SAP IBP across several sites in North America, with additional global rollouts planned across Europe and Asia from 2027 onwards.

We are looking for a Senior SAP Advanced Planning / Demand Planning Consultant who can provide functional and solution leadership across SAP APO and SAP IBP, with a strong focus on Demand Planning and global implementation/rollout activities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Act as a senior functional and solution lead for SAP Advanced Planning and Demand Planning, with a strong focus on SAP IBP.

- Provide subject matter expertise across SAP APO and SAP IBP, supporting the transition and transformation from legacy planning processes to SAP IBP.

- Lead and support SAP IBP Demand Planning implementations, enhancements, and global rollouts across multiple regions.

- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand existing demand planning processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business requirements into scalable SAP IBP solutions.

- Design and implement solutions covering Demand Planning, forecasting, demand sensing, and advanced/enhanced planning models within SAP IBP.

- Support the definition and optimization of forecasting methodologies, planning processes, key figures, planning levels, attributes, and statistical forecasting models.

- Contribute to the design of global planning templates while ensuring the solution can accommodate regional and country-specific business requirements.

- Support the integration of SAP IBP with SAP S/4HANA and other relevant SAP/non-SAP systems, ensuring effective data flows and planning integration.

- Participate in end-to-end project activities including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, hypercare, and continuous improvement.

- Support the preparation and execution of SIT, UAT, regression testing, and business validation activities.

- Work with technical and integration teams to investigate and resolve functional, data, and integration-related issues.

- Provide guidance and mentoring to other SAP planning consultants and project team members.

- Support change management and business adoption activities, including process documentation, training, workshops, and knowledge transfer.

- Work effectively with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders across North America, Europe, and Asia.

- Contribute to the development of a sustainable global SAP IBP planning framework and standardized processes.

Required Experience & Skills :

SAP APO :

- 10+ years of overall SAP consulting experience, with significant experience in SAP Advanced Planning.

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP APO, particularly in Demand Planning and related planning processes.

- Strong understanding of traditional SAP planning processes and the evolution from SAP APO to SAP IBP.

SAP IBP :

- Proven hands-on experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

- Demonstrated experience in SAP IBP implementation and rollout projects.

- Strong experience specifically with SAP IBP for Demand.

- Practical experience in Demand Planning, Statistical Forecasting, Demand Sensing, Enhanced/Advanced Forecasting Models, Planning Models and Planning Areas, Key Figures and Attributes, Forecast consumption and demand processes, and Exception-based planning and analytics.

- Experience supporting the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and optimization of SAP IBP solutions.

SAP S/4HANA :

- Strong understanding and practical experience with SAP S/4HANA.

- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA in the context of supply chain planning, demand planning, forecasting, or ERP transformation.

- Understanding of integration and master/transactional data flows between SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP.

Business & Functional Experience :

- Strong understanding of end-to-end Demand Planning and Forecast-to-Plan processes.

- Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable SAP IBP solutions.

- Experience working directly with business users, process owners, supply chain leaders, and senior stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts, forecasting processes, and demand management.

- Experience working in large-scale SAP transformation, implementation, or global rollout programs.

- Experience supporting business process standardization and harmonization across multiple countries or regions.

Stakeholder & Change Management :

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.

- Experience managing expectations and facilitating discussions between business stakeholders, IT teams, implementation partners, and vendors.

- Proven experience supporting organizational change management and user adoption during SAP transformation programs.

- Ability to conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, solution walkthroughs, and training/knowledge-transfer sessions.

Global Project Experience :

- Experience working on large-scale global SAP programs involving multiple countries, business units, or regions.

- Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams across different time zones.

- Experience supporting global template development and regional/country rollouts.

- Ability to balance global process standards with legitimate regional requirements.
