Key Responsibilities :

- Application Development: Design and develop scalable backend applications, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW) tailored for SAP S/4HANA.

- HANA Optimization: Utilize native HANA features to push database-intensive logic down to the database layer (Code-to-Data paradigm) for maximum performance.

- Performance Tuning: Conduct code reviews, identify runtime bottlenecks using tools like SAT, ATC, and SQLM, and remediate low-performing legacy ABAP code.

- Modern Integration: Build and expose secure, enterprise-grade OData services to facilitate seamless integration with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications or external third-party systems.

- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with Functional Consultants and Business Analysts to transform complex functional specifications into precise technical designs.

Core Technical Skills & Expertise :

1. SAP S/4HANA & ABAP Core :

- Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP) and design patterns.

- Deep knowledge of the ABAP Programming Model for SAP Fiori or SAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) / Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).

- Hands-on experience with Enhancement Frameworks (BAdIs, Explicit/Implicit Enhancements, User Exits).

2. Native HANA Development :

- Expertise in creating advanced Core Data Services (CDS) Views (including parameters, associations, and annotations).

- Extensive experience writing ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) and native SQLscript.

- Proven track record working with advanced HANA artifacts like table functions and database procedures.

3. Data Dictionary & Integrations :

- Mastery of the new open SQL syntax and standard DDIC objects.

- Proficient in developing and debugging Gateway / OData Services (SE80 / SEGW).

- Experience with traditional integration methods such as IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs.

Qualifications & Soft Skills :

- Experience: 5 to 10 years of dedicated hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 3+ years specifically in an SAP S/4HANA environment.

- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions clearly to both technical teams and stakeholders.

- Certifications (Preferred): SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP for SAP HANA or SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP470.
