Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in ABAP on HANA and proven exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementation projects. The role involves designing and developing HANA-optimized ABAP solutions, performing S/4HANA code remediation and transformations, and supporting large-scale SAP implementations.

As a Senior ABAP Consultant in the ITES sector, you will collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to translate complex business requirements into high-performance, scalable technical solutions. This role is critical to driving system performance, innovation, and successful SAP S/4HANA transformations for enterprise clients.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Design and develop HANA-optimized ABAP programs, including reports, module pools, enhancements, and interfaces.

- Implement enhancements using BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.

- Develop and support interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.

- Create data migration programs using BDC, LSMW, and custom data transfer solutions.

- Develop and maintain Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts.

- Design and develop CDS Views for data modeling, reporting, and analytics.

- Create AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) using SQLScript.

- Implement Native SQL and ADBC for advanced database operations.

- Work extensively with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.

- Consume HANA Live and Virtual Data Models (VDM).

- Implement ALV on HANA and Text Search capabilities.

- Perform data modeling using HANA Studio.

- Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects (Greenfield / Brownfield).

- Perform code remediation using SAP Readiness Check, ATC, and Code Inspector.

- Handle S/4HANA simplification items and replace obsolete transactions.

- Support ECC to S/4HANA conversion activities.

- Optimize ABAP code following SAP HANA performance guidelines and code pushdown principles.

- Perform performance tuning using SAT, ST05, and SQL optimization tools.

- Conduct root cause analysis and provide production support.

- Collaborate with functional consultants across modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, etc.).

- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while adhering to SAP best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6 - 9 years of overall SAP ABAP experience (512 years acceptable based on skill depth).

- Strong expertise in ABAP on HANA development.

- Hands-on experience with :
- Reports, Enhancements, Module Pools

- BADIs, Enhancements, User Exits

- Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, Web Services)

- Data migration (BDC, LSMW)

- Proven experience in CDS Views and AMDP development.

- Strong working knowledge of ADT (Eclipse) and HANA Studio.

- Good understanding of SAP HANA architecture and technical concepts.

- Experience with Native SQL, ADBC, and database procedures.

- Hands-on exposure to Text Search, ALV on HANA, and HANA Live models.

- Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects (India / domestic preferred).

- Strong understanding of S/4HANA simplification items and code remediation techniques.

- Experience following SAP Activate methodology.

- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills using SAT, ST05, and SQL optimization.

- Hands-on experience with SE80, SE38, SE37, ADT, and HANA Studio.

- Working knowledge of 23 SAP functional modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, etc.).

Good to Have :

- Experience with SAP Business Workflow development.

- Web Dynpro ABAP development experience.

- Development of OData services for SAP Fiori applications.

- Hands-on experience with BRF+ (Business Rules Framework Plus).
