Sprint Cycles : 3 : 30 PM 12 : 30 AM IST (6-day work week during sprint activities)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Senior QA Automation Engineer with a deep expertise in Selenium, Java, and Cucumber to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our enterprise-level Retail and ERP systems. You will design, develop, and maintain sophisticated BDD automation frameworks that support high-velocity development cycles.

Key Responsibilities :

- Framework Development : Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM), TestNG, and Maven.

- Automation Strategy : Lead the transition from manual to automated testing by identifying high-value test cases for the automation suite.

- BDD Implementation : Write and maintain feature files using Gherkin and implement step definitions in Cucumber/Java.

- Retail/ERP Testing : Execute end-to-end testing for complex Retail and ERP workflows, ensuring data integrity and business logic accuracy.

- CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins or GitLab pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.

- Collaboration : Work closely with Developers and Product Owners in an Agile environment to ensure requirement traceability and comprehensive test coverage.

- Maintenance : Perform regular maintenance of existing scripts and troubleshoot execution failures to ensure high reliability of the automation suite.

Technical Qualifications :

- Core Automation : 610 years of professional experience in QA automation with a heavy focus on Selenium WebDriver.

- Programming : Strong hands-on coding skills in Java (Oop concepts, Collections, Exception handling).

- BDD/TDD : Expert-level experience with Cucumber and writing Gherkin syntax.

- Test Management : Deep knowledge of TestNG or JUnit for test execution, reporting, and parallel execution.

- Build Tools : Proficiency in Maven for dependency management and project build lifecycle.

- Version Control : Strong command of Git (branching, merging, pull requests).

- Domain Expertise : Prior experience testing Retail applications or ERP systems is mandatory.

Soft Skills & Work Environment :

- Agile Mindset : Comfortable working in fast-paced sprints and participating in 6-day work weeks during critical sprint activities.

- Shift Flexibility : Ability to work the late afternoon/evening shift (up to 12 : 30 AM during sprints) to align with global stakeholders.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document defects and present quality metrics.
