Role & Responsibilities :
As a Senior Product Designer, you are a high-impact individual contributor who owns end-to-end design delivery across complex product journeys within global client pods (US/UK/India). You operate at the intersection of UX craft, systems thinking, and delivery excellence, translating ambiguous problem spaces into scalable, high-quality design solutions. You are expected to independently lead workstreams, contribute to business outcomes, and actively elevate team capability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Product & Experience Design :
i. Own end-to-end design for features / journeys across discovery - definition - delivery
ii. Translate business and user needs into clear problem statements, flows, and interaction models
iii. Deliver high-quality UX and UI aligned to design systems and accessibility standards
iv. Contribute to experience strategy and solutioning in collaboration with XD, Product, and Engineering
- Delivery Excellence (Client / Pod Model) :
i. Work within global pods (US/UK/India) to deliver against timelines and quality expectations
ii. Ensure design readiness for development (handoff clarity, edge cases, states, documentation)
iii. Actively participate in design critiques, sprint rituals, and client reviews
iv. Maintain high utilization / chargeability (aligned to 80-85% targets)
- Craft & Systems Thinking :
i. Apply and extend design systems (tokens, components, patterns) effectively
ii. Ensure consistency, scalability, and reusability across solutions
iii. Demonstrate strong interaction design, visual hierarchy, and usability principles
iv. Leverage data, heuristics, and user insights to inform decisions
- Stakeholder Collaboration :
i. Collaborate effectively with Product, Tech, Strategy (XS), and Visual Design (VD)
ii. Communicate design decisions with clarity and rationale (not just outputs)
iii. Participate in client conversations with confidence, focusing on outcomes over outputs
- Capability Building & Culture :
i. Contribute to team learning through critiques, knowledge sharing, and mentoring juniors (DCF 25/30)
ii. Actively participate in XD practice initiatives (XEN / XEN+)
iii. Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a growth mindset
- AI & Future-Ready Design :
i. Leverage AI tools (e.g., Figma AI, generative tools, prototyping accelerators) to improve speed and exploration
ii. Focus on problem framing, direction setting, and evaluation of solutions while using AI for execution efficiency
Ideal Candidate :
Strong Senior Product Designer Profile - Global Delivery
- Mandatory (Experience) : Must have 7+ years of experience in Product Design - with a clear track record of owning end-to-end design delivery across complex digital products, moving beyond feature execution into problem framing and experience strategy.
- Mandatory (Skill 1 - UX Craft) : Must have strong UX fundamentals - IA, interaction design, usability, and journey mapping - with the ability to structure ambiguous problem spaces into clear flows, models, and design decisions before moving to visual output.
- Mandatory (Skill 2 - Visual Design) : Must have solid visual design sensibility - layout, typography, spacing, and hierarchy - producing UI that is clean, system-aligned, and accessible rather than decorative or brand-led.
- Mandatory (Skill 3 - Design Systems) : Must have hands-on experience working within design systems - applying tokens, components, and patterns - and delivering dev-ready handoffs with documented states, edge cases, and responsive behaviour.
- Mandatory (Skill 4 - AI & Tooling) : Must have advanced Figma proficiency and active use of AI-assisted design tools (Figma AI, generative prototyping, or equivalent) - using AI to accelerate execution while retaining ownership of problem framing and design direction.
- Mandatory (Client Handling) : Must have demonstrated ability to operate within global distributed pod models (US/UK/India or equivalent) - meeting timeline and quality expectations with minimal supervision across client-facing delivery environments.
- Mandatory (Leadership) : Must show a growth trajectory from feature ownership toward problem space ownership - with evidence of mentoring juniors, driving design critique culture, and influencing solution direction beyond their immediate workstream
- Mandatory (Stakeholder Mgmt) : Must have strong cross-functional collaboration skills - partnering with Product, Engineering, and Strategy - and communicating design decisions with clear rationale to both internal teams and client stakeholders
- Mandatory (Portfolio) : Must have a portfolio showing end-to-end UX process - problem framing, flows, interaction decisions, system-aligned UI, and outcome framing - across complex digital product contexts
