Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior POS / Oracle Xstore Deployment Engineer to support the deployment, maintenance, automation, and operational support of Oracle Xstore Point-of-Sale (POS) systems across QA and Production environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Xstore, Windows and Linux platforms, AWS infrastructure, DevOps tools, and retail store systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Deploy and support Oracle Xstore POS (Versions 21 & 25) across QA and Production environments.

- Perform data setup, configuration, and maintenance of new and existing POS registers.

- Support Windows-based retail endpoints and Linux backend servers hosted on AWS.

- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline deployment processes and reduce manual effort.

- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot POS applications and store-facing systems.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to deliver effective solutions.

- Deploy software releases, configurations, and updates to retail store environments.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and Knowledge Base (KB) articles.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 10+ years of overall IT experience.

- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Xstore POS (Versions 17, 21, and 25).

- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

- Experience working with AWS services such as EC2, ALB, VPC, and networking components.

- Good understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and SSH.

- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools :

1. GitLab

2. Terraform

3. Vault

4. Puppet (preferred)

- Scripting experience using Bash and PowerShell.

- Experience with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.

- Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience supporting large-scale retail POS environments.

- Knowledge of deployment automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.

- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
