Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer Firewall & LAN to support and deliver enterprise network infrastructure initiatives in a contract role.

The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in multi-vendor firewall environments, LAN infrastructure, and network services, along with strong capabilities in planning, migration, troubleshooting, and operational support across complex enterprise ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and execute firewall upgrades and hardware migrations across multi-vendor environments.

- Design, assess, plan, and implement network infrastructure solutions aligned with business and security requirements.

Provide deep technical expertise across LAN and network services, including :

1. DHCP, DNS, and IPAM

2. Firewalls

3. Load balancers

4. Time protocols (NTP)

5. Proxy services

6. Cloud-based applications

- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and advanced troubleshooting of network infrastructure and applications.

- Ensure effective monitoring and observability of network products, services, and infrastructure.

- Leverage testing and lab environments to perform pre-testing, validation, and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities prior to production changes.

- Participate in source code management and contribute to network configuration or automation scripts where applicable.

- Support on-call rotation and provide timely incident response and resolution.

- Document network designs, migration plans, operational procedures, and change records.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 to 7+ years of demonstrated experience in enterprise networking, with senior-level responsibilities.

- Strong hands-on experience with firewall upgrades and hardware migrations in multi-vendor environments.

- Solid understanding of enterprise network services, including DHCP, DNS, IPAM, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and time synchronization protocols.

- Experience designing and implementing LAN and network infrastructure in complex environments.

- Proven expertise in network capacity planning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools.

- Exposure to source code management (Git or similar) and structured change validation practices.

- Ability to work in test and staging environments using industry best practices.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation shifts.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in hybrid or cloud-integrated network environments.

- Exposure to network automation or scripting is a plus.

- Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, NSE, or equivalent) are advantageous
