Senior Monitoring Specialist - Zabbix Administration

Description :

Experience :

- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Zabbix, specifically with version 7.2 or later.

- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role is preferred.

- Prior hands-on experience in system administration, network monitoring, or IT operations.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in configuring and managing Zabbix installations.

- Familiarity with SQL databases and data visualization tools.

- Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting (HTTP, SNMP, TCP/IP, etc.).

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure Zabbix servers, agents, and proxies.

- Optimize the performance of Zabbix installations and troubleshoot issues.

System Development :

- Integrate Zabbix with other tools (e.g., ticketing systems, chat applications) for enhanced functionality.

- Develop and maintain scripts using supported programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

Team Leadership and Assistance :

- Provide mentorship and training on Zabbix best practices and monitoring strategies.

- Act as a point of contact for Zabbix-related queries and challenges within the team.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Generate reports and provide insights on monitoring metrics and system health to stakeholders.

Collaboration :

- Participate in regular meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Continuous Improvement :

- Propose and implement enhancements to improve monitoring efficiency and effectiveness.
