About the Role :
The Senior Manager - Agile Delivery leads a team of Agile Coaches/RTEs and Team Coaches/Scrum Masters in the organisation, enabling high-performing delivery teams and consistent Agile execution. This role is responsible for people leadership, coaching delivery teams, strengthening Agile Ways of Working, and ensuring alignment with US counterparts. The Senior Manager partners closely with product, engineering, and program leaders to improve delivery predictability, flow, and team maturity across multiple teams or programs.
Youll champion the Ways of Working, helping teams deliver value through Agile practices, a culture of excellence, and a people-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership :
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Agile Coaches within the GCC.
- Provide career development, performance feedback, and skill-building opportunities aligned to Agile standards.
- Build a high-trust, collaborative team culture and ensure strong engagement and retention in a competitive talent market.
Agile Delivery Excellence :
- Ensure consistent execution of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices across assigned teams.
- Partner with leaders to align delivery processes, ceremonies, and reporting expectations.
- Support teams in improving flow, predictability, and accountability through standard Agile practices.
- Facilitate or oversee PI Planning, cross-team coordination, and dependency management where required.
Coaching & Maturity Development :
- Coach Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Scrum Masters on Agile values and role clarity.
- Drive continuous improvement and maturity through assessments, actionable feedback, and structured improvement plans.
- Guide teams through impediment removal, decision-making, and improved collaboration.
Metrics & Reporting :
- Ensure teams use standard delivery metrics (velocity, throughput, predictability, flow metrics) to drive improvement.
- Partner with the Portfolio team to provide accurate insights and support data-driven decision-making.
Collaboration & Governance :
- Act as the GCC point of contact for Agile delivery practices and alignment to US governance rhythms.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that strengthen engineering, product, and portfolio execution.
- Support rollout of enterprise Agile practices, templates, and standards across the GCC.
Requirements
Required skills :
- Demonstrated people-leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile practices (e.g., SAFe).
- Experience improving delivery performance across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including stakeholder management across global teams.
- Ability to work onsite at the Chennai GCC with overlap hours supporting US stakeholders.
Preferred skills :
- Certifications such as CSM, CSP, ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF, or SAFe (SSM, SASM, SPC-preferred but not required).
- Experience in large-scale digital, eCommerce, or technology organizations.
- Exposure to Portfolio or Program Management environments (PI Planning, cross-team orchestration, dependency management).
