Role Overview :
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Integration Engineer with deep expertise in building resilient, message-driven architectures.
You will lead the development of critical microservices that bridge complex data formats, specifically focusing on X12 and HL7 standards.
The ideal candidate is a Java veteran who thrives in a distributed, cloud-native environment (Azure) and has a passion for writing clean, maintainable code that moves mission-critical data.
Key Responsibilities :
- Microservices Development : Architect and implement high-performance, scalable microservices using Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
- Data Transformation & Routing : Design complex integration patterns and routing logic. Experience with Apache Camel is highly preferred to handle the orchestration of message flows.
- Specialized Data Handling : Process and validate healthcare and financial data standards, specifically HL7 (for clinical data) and X12 (for EDI transactions/claims).
- Cloud Integration : Deploy, manage, and optimize services within the Azure ecosystem (AKS, Azure Functions, Service Bus).
- Build & CI/CD : Manage project dependencies and build lifecycles using Maven or Gradle, ensuring seamless integration into automated deployment pipelines.
- Code Excellence : Conduct rigorous code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure the team adheres to SOLID principles and design patterns.
Technical Requirements :
Must-Have Skills :
- Java Mastery : 7+ years of expert-level experience with Core Java (Concurrency, Collections, JVM tuning).
- Frameworks : Extensive experience building Microservices with Spring Boot.
- Healthcare/EDI Standards : Proven track record handling X12 and HL7 data formats (parsing, mapping, and transmission).
- Cloud Infrastructure : Practical experience with Azure cloud services and environments.
- Build Tools : Proficiency in Maven and/or Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Integration Engines : Hands-on experience with Apache Camel for enterprise integration patterns (EIP).
- Database Knowledge : Experience with both SQL (PostgreSQL/SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.
- Messaging : Experience with Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
