Role Overview :

As a Senior Java Developer at Wits Innovation Lab, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and implementation of our core software products. You will work closely with a team of talented engineers, product managers, and QA specialists to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' operations, ultimately contributing to their success in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop robust and scalable Java-based applications using Spring, Hibernate, and other relevant technologies for our core product offerings.

- Build and consume RESTful web services and microservices to integrate various components of our platform.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, enhancing the functionality and user experience of our products.

- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to OOPS principles and design patterns, to ensure maintainability and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of our applications.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers, promoting code quality and knowledge sharing.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design and develop enterprise-level Java applications using Spring framework.

- Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful web services and microservices.

- Proficient in working with relational databases such as MySQL and using Hibernate for data persistence.

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOPS) principles and design patterns.

- Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Adaptable to a hybrid work environment, balancing on-site collaboration with remote work flexibility.
