Senior Java Developer

Experience : 8- 10 years

Notice Period : Immediate to 21 days

This is a contractual position for 6 months.

Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to work with a US-based banking client, owning enterprise-grade APIs, integrations, and streaming consumers using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka. The role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and hands-on experience with high-performance, resilient systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and maintain Kafka producers and consumers with high throughput, resilience, idempotency, retries, DLQ handling, and backoff strategies.

- Develop and maintain gRPC APIs for inter-service communication.

- Deploy and manage applications securely on OpenShift, including CI/CD pipelines.

- Monitor and optimize application performance, SQL tuning, and JDBC connection pools.

- Implement observability using tools like Splunk and Grafana.

- Manage secrets securely using Vault or CyberArk.

- Take end-to-end ownership of features and services, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- Strong experience in Kafka development for high-throughput streaming applications.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, JDBC/JPA, and REST/gRPC APIs.

- Experience with OpenShift deployments and CI/CD pipelines.

- Ability to tune SQL, monitor performance, and ensure resilient system design.

- Familiarity with observability tools like Splunk and Grafana.

- Knowledge of secrets management (Vault or CyberArk).

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
