We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to lead the development of our iOS application, powering real-time messaging features used by a large consumer audience. You will play a key role in architecture decisions, performance optimization, and mentoring engineers while collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams.

Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain high-performance iOS applications used by millions of users

- Own complex features such as real-time messaging, media sharing, notifications, and offline support

- Drive architectural decisions and ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the iOS codebase

- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency

- Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, data models, and real-time systems

- Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver polished user experiences

- Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and improve engineering standards

- Mentor junior and mid-level iOS engineers

- Participate in release planning, incident debugging, and post-release improvements

Required Qualifications :

- 6+ years of professional iOS development experience

- Strong expertise in Swift and iOS SDK

- Experience building consumer-facing (B2C) mobile apps at scale

- Solid understanding of iOS app architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.)

- Hands-on experience with real-time systems (chat, messaging, WebSockets, push notifications)

- Proficiency with UIKit and/or SwiftUI

- Strong knowledge of networking, concurrency (GCD, async/await), and local persistence

- Experience with App Store releases, CI/CD, and crash monitoring

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have :

- Experience with end-to-end encrypted messaging or chat platforms

- Familiarity with Firebase, APNs, or real-time messaging frameworks

- Experience with media processing (images, video, audio)

- Exposure to large-scale consumer products (millions of MAU)

- Backend or cross-platform experience (Kotlin, React Native, Flutter)
