Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Grafana Developer with strong expertise in SQL, Azure cloud services, and Databricks to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will transform complex data into actionable insights, enable system and business monitoring, and collaborate closely with data engineering and cloud teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Grafana Development & Visualization :

- Design, develop, and maintain Grafana dashboards for operational, analytical, and business KPIs.

- Build reusable dashboard templates, variables, and panels

- Optimize dashboard performance for large datasets

- Configure alerts, thresholds, and notifications for proactive monitoring

- Integrate Grafana with multiple data sources (SQL, Azure services, Databricks, Azure Monitor)

SQL & Data Analysis :

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support dashboards and reports

- Perform data validation and ensure accuracy of visualized metrics

- Work with large datasets and ensure efficient query performance

- Support adhoc data analysis requests from stakeholders

Databricks & Data Platforms :

- Use Azure Databricks (Spark SQL / PySpark) as a data source for Grafana

- Collaborate with data engineers to define optimized datasets and views

- Understand Delta Lake tables and analyticsready data structures

- Troubleshoot data latency and data quality issues impacting dashboards

Azure Cloud & Monitoring :

- Integrate Grafana with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure SQL, Synapse, ADLS

- Monitor cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and application metrics

- Implement Azure best practices for security, authentication, and access control

- Assist in capacity planning and performance monitoring on Azure

Collaboration & Support :

- Work closely with data engineers, DevOps, SRE, and business teams

- Translate business and operational requirements into meaningful visualizations

- Participate in dashboard reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

- Support production issues related to dashboards and alerts

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in Grafana dashboard development

- Strong expertise in SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, optimization)

- Handson experience with Azure Databricks

- Solid understanding of Azure data and monitoring services

- Experience building realtime and nearrealtime dashboards

Technical Tools :

- Grafana (Dashboarding, Alerts, Variables, Permissions)

- SQL (Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks SQL)

- Azure Databricks (Spark SQL / PySpark)

- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics

- Git / Version Control

Good to Have/Preferred :

- Experience with Prometheus, Application Insights, or Loki

- Knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools

- Exposure to CI/CD for dashboard deployment

- Azure certifications (AZ104, DP203)

- Understanding of SRE / Observability concepts
