The Role

We are looking for a heavyweight Senior GCP Manager to spearhead our Cloud Data Center of Excellence. You will own the architecture, delivery, and team management for enterprise-scale data platforms. This role is designed for a leader who still has a strong technical pulse but excels at navigating complex stakeholder environments and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Technical Leadership : Drive the end-to-end architecture and deployment of large-scale data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Team Management : Lead, mentor, and scale a team of 15+ data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and agile delivery.

- Data Strategy : Oversee complex Data Modeling and the optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure high-performance analytics.

- Governance & Security : Implement rigorous data governance, IAM policies, and compliance standards within the GCP ecosystem.

- Delivery Excellence : Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, translating high-level requirements into technical execution roadmaps.

- Cost Optimization : Monitor and optimize GCP consumption and performance (FinOps) to ensure maximum ROI on cloud spend.

Technical & Leadership Requirements :

- Cloud Expertise : 5+ years of dedicated experience with GCP services, specifically BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.

- Engineering Foundation : Strong background in Python and Advanced SQL for data manipulation and automation.

- Orchestration : Deep experience with Airflow (or Cloud Composer) for managing complex workflow dependencies.

- Modeling : Proven ability to design scalable schemas for Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.

- Managerial Experience : At least 3-4 years in a formal people-management role, handling performance reviews, hiring, and career pathing.
