Job Description

Sr. Enterprise Architecture Analyst

Location : India (Offshore)

Experience : 6- 10 years

Team Alignment : Architecture Development Team (ADT)

Role Type : Senior Individual Contributor with Offshore Lead Responsibilities

Role Summary :

The Senior Enterprise Architecture Analyst Reference Architecture Lead is responsible for producing, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of enterprise reference architectures, standards, and guardrails that enable fast, consistent, and low-risk delivery. This role is the primary offshore contributor to the Architecture Development Team (ADT) and serves as the execution lead for reference architecture production.

The role focuses on turning enterprise direction into practical, reusable architecture assets that delivery teams can apply without repeated clarification. This role requires a high level of collaboration and engagement with Domain Architects to ensure reference architectures reflect real-world delivery needs and do not develop in a vacuum.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Reference Architecture Production :

- Develop and maintain enterprise reference architectures for ERP (SAP ECC and S/4HANA), CRM (Salesforce), Integration/API, Data, Security, and Cloud platforms.

- Ensure reference architectures clearly define scope, approved patterns, decision defaults, supported variants, and exception triggers.

- Maintain a consistent structure, abstraction level, and naming standard across all reference architecture assets.

- Collaborate closely with Domain Architects and delivery stakeholders to validate patterns, capture lessons learned, and keep reference architectures grounded in implementation reality.

2. Architecture Standards and Guardrails :

- Produce and maintain architecture standards, guardrails, and preferred patterns aligned to enterprise platforms and lifecycle posture.

- Ensure standards are lightweight, actionable, and aligned to Agile delivery cadence.

3. Quality Ownership and Review :

- Act as the offshore quality gate for architecture deliverables prior to onshore review.

- Identify and correct inconsistencies, duplication, or over-engineering in architecture artifacts.

4. ADT Execution and Coordination :

- Execute ADT backlog items including baselines, patterns, standards, and reference models.

- Operate one sprint ahead of delivery teams to provide architecture runway and early guidance.

- Coordinate offshore architecture analysts supporting portfolio and governance workstreams.

Required Experience and Skills :

- 6- 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture analysis, solution architecture enablement, or architecture standards development.

- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including clean-core principles, extension strategies, and integration patterns.

- Hands-on experience with Salesforce platform architecture and enterprise integration patterns.

- Strong experience with cloud and hybrid architecture patterns, including platform services and security considerations.

- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs (ERP, CRM, integration, or data modernization).

- Proven ability to work in high-velocity, Agile, non-bureaucratic environments.

- Working knowledge of TOGAF concepts applied in a pragmatic, Agile-aligned way.

- Experience with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., LeanIX or equivalent).

- Demonstrated ability to work in consensus-driven environments with strong collaboration across Domain Architects and product/delivery teams.

What Success Looks Like :

- Reference architectures are consistently used by delivery teams to make faster decisions with fewer escalations.

- Architecture standards and guardrails reduce ambiguity and shorten architectural decision cycle time.

- Architecture assets are lightweight, decision-oriented, and reusable rather than documentation-heavy.

- ADT outputs are high quality and require minimal rework during onshore review.

- Delivery, portfolio, and Domain Architects provide positive feedback on clarity, usability, and practicality of architecture guidance.

Important Boundaries :

- This role does not make final enterprise architecture decisions.

- This role does not independently approve standards, exceptions, or deviations.

- This role does not act as an Enterprise Architect or Domain Architect.

- Final architectural direction, approvals, and governance decisions remain with onshore Enterprise Architecture leadership.
