We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Engineering Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology products/platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven team-building and leadership skills, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
The core responsibilities for the job include the following :
Team Leadership and Talent Development :
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor top engineering talent, building a high-performance team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Define career paths, set development goals, and provide technical coaching.
Technical Excellence and Execution :
- Oversee end-to-end product and platform development.
- Define and drive technical strategy, architecture, and design decisions.
- Lead architecture, design, and code reviews, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Advocate for modern development practices, tools, and methodologies.
Agile Implementation and Delivery Management :
- Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of product and platform initiatives.
- Drive Agile best practices, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and iterative development.
- Establish key metrics to track engineering performance and efficiency.
Security, Privacy, and Regulatory Compliance :
- Lead security, privacy, and compliance reviews for products and platforms.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Implement robust security measures, data protection strategies, and risk mitigation approaches.
Cost Management and Operational Efficiency :
- Optimize engineering budgets and resource allocation.
- Evaluate build vs. buy decisions for platforms and tools.
- Drive efficiencies through automation, DevOps, and scalable architectures.
Collaboration; Stakeholder Management :
- Partner with Product, Business, and Leadership teams to align engineering goals with business strategy.
- Communicate technical roadmaps effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of product features.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- 14+ years of experience in software engineering, Solution delivery, and Project management. With at least 4+ years of experience in product management activities.
- Proven experience in leading and scaling engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in software architecture, data platform development, and modern development frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices.
- Ability to manage budgets, optimize resources, and drive cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Certifications in PMP, Scrum Master, or ITIL will be an added advantage.
