Senior Database Engineer

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Engineer with strong expertise in ETL, SQL Server, SSIS, and hands-on exposure to Duck Creek DMS (Distribution Management System). The role involves designing, optimizing, and maintaining database solutions that support DMS applications and data workflows.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows to support data integration, migration, and transformation needs.

- Develop complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance-optimized database components.

- Build, automate, and manage data pipelines using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).

- Support and enhance data-related functionalities for Duck Creek DMS environments.

- Ensure database availability, performance tuning, indexing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- Collaborate with application teams to support DMS configurations, integrations, and data workflows.

- Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and documentation for all database-related activities.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable database solutions.

- Participate in database architecture discussions, best practices, and code reviews.

- Assist in production support, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning).

- Proven experience with ETL development and SSIS packages.

- Working experience or functional knowledge of Duck Creek DMS is mandatory.

- Experience with data modeling, database design, and optimization techniques.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and integration patterns.

- Ability to analyze complex data issues and provide effective solutions.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

- Experience working in Agile environments preferred.
