Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement highly available and scalable NoSQL database solutions (Cassandra, Redis) to meet business requirements.

- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance.

- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and ensure business continuity.

- Automate database administration tasks, such as patching, upgrades, and configuration management, to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and schema design to enhance application performance.

- Enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry regulations.

- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.

- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for critical database systems.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in administering and troubleshooting Cassandra and Redis NoSQL databases in a production environment.

- Proven ability to perform database tuning and performance optimization to improve query response times and system throughput.

- Solid understanding of Linux system administration, including scripting, networking, and security.

- Experience with SQL and relational database concepts.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Ability to adapt to an on-site work environment in Chennai.
